The police chief of Nagpur, Amitesh Kumar, received a surprise Rakhi gift from a woman. She is the woman whose 20 lakh rupees were stolen by an employee. Apart from the money, around 70 crore rupees of valuables were also stolen. But Amitesh Kumar returned all the stolen valuables and money as well to 127 complainants at Police Bhavan and during the five-day police Priyadarshini to commemorate the 75th year of India’s independence. The uncle of Natasha Mayani had stolen Rs 20 lakh around a fortnight ago and handed over the cash to the CP.
The DCP team, including Chinmay Pandit and Addl CP Navinchandra Reddy, recovered the cash and other valuables. Mayani, a driving instructor, said that the cops are the real heroes and real brothers who will always turn up to help people after dialing the emergency control room. He also stated, “Your own brothers may fail, but the cops will not.” Kumar has set an example by returning the stolen cash and valuables on time to the doorstep of the elderly widow at Jaripatka.
