The newly elected President of Sri Lanka, Rani Wickremesinghe, is preparing a 25-year plan to transform the crisis-hit economy of Sri Lanka. He presented his government policy statement in the third session of Parliament and invited the political parties to form a party government to overcome the current economic crisis. The President said that he took over a country that has been in crisis for the last few years.
The 73-year-old President is trying his best to take Sri Lanka from the pit of poverty and crisis. He delivered a speech in which he said that Sri Lanka is in danger and we all have to work together to win over the situation. And once again, he is requesting all the political parties to work in unity and focus on growth rather than competition. He also showed that this is the hand of friendship only for the welfare of the people of Sri Lanka.
