On receiving a Rs 1,455-crore order from RRVUN, Techno Electric gained 12%

The Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam, Kota, placed an order worth Rs. 666 crore, and the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam, Jhalawar, placed an order worth Rs. 789 crore.

In Wednesday’s intraday trade, shares of Techno Electric & Engineering Business rose 13% to Rs 314.50 on the BSE after the company announced that Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam has placed new orders worth Rs 1,455 crore for flue gas desulfurization (FGD).

The engineering, designing, and building company’s shares was up 9% at Rs 306.10 at 09:29 AM. The S&P BSE Sensex, in contrast, was up 0.27 percent at 60,021.

Techno Electric received brand-new transmission orders around Rs 680 crore last week. These orders included two for a combined Rs 145 crore and Rs 233 crore from Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Co.

Techno Electric has repurchased 40,000 equity shares on the open market through stock exchanges until August 16, 2022. At a price not exceeding Rs 325 per share, the corporation intends to repurchase equity shares worth up to Rs 130 crore.
